The LFT Forestry Company

Laggan Forest Trust Forestry Company Limited (LFTFC) is the trading arm of The Laggan Forest Trust. Originally set up to manage the Strathmashie Forest in partnership with the Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS), the Forestry Company signed a 25 year partnership agreement with FCS in 2004.  More recently, our forestry contractors have been undertaking fencing and replanting work for the Forestry Commission under framework agreements.

In recent years, LFTFCs principal activities has been managing the relatively new Wolftrax Centre and Café at Laggan Wolftrax, home of the Forestry Commission's mountain biking trails. The centre, opened in 2015 is being run as a social enterprise and offers lots of lovely things to eat and drink, showcases activities available within the area and the Cairngorms National Park and provides a friendly welcome to all, and even hot showers for any muddy bikers.
