Connecting Laggan Community
Posted on
Laggan Community Council has commissioned us to undertake a feasibility study aiming to connect
three parts of the community with safe and accessible paths for Active Travel. Funding has been provided by Sustrans, through the Laggan Forest Trust. We are starting from the beginning to examine what is possible, but taking into account previous studies.
We will be talking to landowners and land managers first, to find out what might be possible, and giving residents an opportunity to contribute ideas and suggestions. We will also be involving organisations such as Transport Scotland, Cairngorms National Park Authority and Highland Council.
To start the process of community engagement we are holding a ‘drop in session’ at Laggan Village Hall on Tuesday 25th February 2020 from 12 – 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome! Information will be available in the hall regarding the feasibility study and this will be an opportunity for us to listen and discuss ideas. A further opportunity to get involved is likely to take place in late March.
If you are unable to attend on 25th February, please feel free to contact Chris York on 07971 827102, or by email chris.york@walking-the-talk.co.uk
We are also using our website to share information and gather feedback:
